Need to tweak the settings. I just watched the bot pick Animal Companion over Kill Command when there was enough damage on board (+5 from kill command) to kill the opp next turn.

Can you post the replay?

Im trying this deck out.
Im not sure about the # 2x (7) Vinecleaver. 1 is probs enough

corridor creeper might also be a good addition to the deck

how long did you bot for total? (amount of games?). somtimes it takes a long time to break out. I feel like rank 19-15 is actually pretty difficult. people play net decks but dont know how to play properly. They still have good cards and sometimes high roll. If you bot over 100 games you should be able to get out 20-15 pretty easily with a decent config / deck.

Before ranked changes, it would take me over 600 games to get from 15-5 with aggro pally. Now with ranked changes get 9-5 in less then 100 games.

Odd Baku Dude Paladin is out now. Seems to win almost every casual it's in. This is still a work in progress deck.

Please tell me what this deck does wrong. It's going to be difficult to curate values as there's so many combos this can play. I'm watching it carefully too and tweaking values.

If you need a deck today, Hunter is the more complete and stable deck. Paladin has a lot of issues right now that I'm going to be sorting through.

Dude Paladin 0.1 and 0.2 had severe problems. Make sure you have 0.3 or above so your cards function correctly.

@misused good too see someone making new configs, thanks!

I would love to make decks and configs, test them for errors and make them run smoothly. Alas, I have no clue where to start! Could you set me in the right direction?

Keep up the good work!

Best way to start is to decide if you want to start from scratch on your own deck or fix current decks. I suggest starting with your own deck just to get fundamentals down and not working on other's bases.

Reference this page for all of the API terms: http://www.hearthranger....erstand_json_config.htm
For card ids search on the bot or go here: http://hearthstoneapi.com/cards

Typically my method of creating configs starts with letting the bot run 10-20 normal games and see how it fairs. Watch it play, don't just come back and see results. Now that you're watching it play, you'll have general ideas of what are better moves, combos, etc. Make a list of those combos or fixes that you want to fix. Now that you have a list of stuff to update, create your file for the card and update values. Higher values = more priority. Negative values = do not play. The key is to keep tweaking until you have a config that you're happy with or cannot update further.

A good example to look at is my Odd Baku Hunter in this thread. The bot would normally play Southsea Deckhand without a weapon which essentially makes the card dead. Instead, I changed the value to -15 unless I have a hero weapon. Now, the bot will almost always use the card correctly unless in dire situations.

Also, custom Mulligans are 80% of why you win. Set the bot up for success and it'll do work. Configs are there for minor tweaks, not to rewrite the bot.

Ironbeak Owl tried to “ignore” the opponent taunt minion.
Also in one game the bot kept Baku in the starting hand.

Ironbeak Owl: Were you against a Warlock? If so, it saves Ironbeak Owl for Carnivorous Cube.

Baku: Which config? Neither config should keep Baku.
