Make sure you have downloaded the correct version of the game wich you can do here: Download HearthRanger, If you don't have the correct version of the bot this guide might not be suited for you!

Step 2:
Locate the compressed file ( The directory where you have downloaded it from the website, Most likely Downloads folder or your desktop, If you can't find it go to your browser and press CTRL + A + J, Right click the compressed file and click Properties, at the bottom you will see a button that says: Unblock, Click this ( This will unblock all the files within the compressed file because it comes from another computer and the computer might think it's suspicious)
Unblock Button

Step 3:
Once you located the compressed file you have just downloaded, unzip it with either Winrar, 7Zip or any other unpacking software you have.

Hearthstone Properties

Step 6:
You see a window called gmsy1yqzt0f, Click on the little note with a pen (When you hover over it it will say: Edit Task)

You will now see the Task Editor, Where you can adjust everything.

Step 8:

Step 9:
The rest of the tabs speak for them selfes you can adjust the way the bot plays for you inside of the Task Editor After you are done, Save it

Step 10:

Thanks for this guide.
Will add this to my signature, too.

Note: This information is only for v2.9.0.0 and below!!!

One thing:
Locale must be set to your HS language and not enUS by default.

You can find the setting in file client.config in your HS installation directory.

The Locale setting was used some time ago to set your HS language but it is outdated now and HS language is set via bnet app.

HR still reads the config file but language changes via bnet do not affect it any more.
You only have to update the value if you switched language after installing HS.

Btw, here is a list of common values:
deDE - German
enGB - Great Britain English
enUS - North American English
esES - Spanish
esMX - Mexican
frFR - French
itIT - Italian
koKR - Korean
plPL - Polish
ptBR - Portuguese
ruRU - Russian
zhCN - Chinese
zhTW - Taiwanese

Guide helped, I set resolution to match Windows, thanks. The bot plays cards now and sometimes attacks but still is retarded (not attacking sometimes when opponent has nothing out there). Is there any way to make it smarter?
Thanks

Can you be more specific?
What happens when he does not attack? Logs?

First guess without further information is the bot ropes out a lot due to unfinished calculations.
If you run HR on a low spec PC try to reduce AI parameters to 20000 and 100.

I think that set game resolution to match windows resolution is not necesary. I usually play will smaller resulutions, some of them not defined on options and for me the bot works OK. But maybe, this can help some ppl.

Hi Oijkn,

- I'm on Windows 8
- Program launched in admin everytime (I made the permanent modification as indicated in the tutorial above).
- Microsoft Framework 4.5 installed.
- Antivirus ESET NOD32 (I tried with and without the antivirus active).

Not sure where to go from here. I'm open to any suggestion.
Thanks in advance for your help :).

Hi :D

Yes I did. Turns out I had to change the IP in the launcher config and hearthranger config with the new one 50.62.6.107
Thanks again for your time and help :).
Have a great day!

Are there any changes to this guide with the more recent versions? I'm having a little difficulty finding the path for it.
