scottbreak, rly good job with this deck, but I found some mistakes in mulligan and play priority:

- Finley is a discard, well you might wanna keep him if you have Cannon + Pirate + Weapon just to make sure you will finish game by turn 5 otherwise is a discard.
- Upgrade! is a hold if we have pirate to play. All our cards benefit from having a weapon equipped.
- Finley is not to be played before turn 5 if we have anything to play instead: Buccaneer, First mate, Deckhand, Raider, every single card in deck is better then Finley.

Example: 1st turn, no coin, hand Finley, Buccaneer, Firts mate. Bot plays Finley.

Bot discards Upgrade! and Cultist to grab some useless cards and to play 1: Coin, Buccaneer, Finley.

Hey guys just dropping in to say i hit rank five with scottbreaks pirate warrior in wild on eu again. It took a while this time but i did start on day one of the season, my win rate might be a bit unreliable though as i lost a few matches due to internet troubles and some weird bug that kept making hs randomly crash so my winrate is possibly lower then what it should be.

I've made a post on the other thread but i'd like to note ive been seeing the bot misplay upgrading its weapon a bunch it seems to upgrade after using weapon for no reason and this seems to happen with both the cultist and the upgrade card.

i've already reported it but you can drop your report on the thread as well (link in first post of this thread), i've only reported the upgrade one though as thats the only one i knew i had the log for, kinda wish i coulda remembered the time for a match a while ago where the bot hit with a weapon upgraded then trashed his weapon by equipping a new weapon all on the same turn.

how has standard pirate warrior been performing? VS and TS tier list seems to put it as top 3 decks. anyone has experience with it in standard?

I have been running the Wild Pirate Warrior on my alt (-Finley +ASO), and testing the combos. My original focus was to get the bot to play Ships Cannon + Coin + Pirate on turn 2, but I haven't been able to make it work. I then started focusing on the Upgrade! and weapon combos. I ran ~125 games with weapon combos and ~125 games without weapon combos. The results were only .5 of a % different, but the interesting thing was the difference in class ratios. Specifically: Druid, Hunter, Paladin and Rogue.

If anyone has some insight, or suggestions based on the data, please let me know. I am currently running the bot with some altered weapon combos to see the results there. In addition to the changes to the weapon combos, I also removed a few combos that the bot was naturally playing, and like the turn 2 combo, I couldn't get to work properly. One of those issues I posted a log for; it seems like the bot doesn't play Ships Cannon before Bloodsail Cultist. Maybe the bot isn't recognizing it as a pirate?

I am trying to optimize this deck as much as possible, because I think it has some lasting power. I will not post any new changes until I have some more data. My reasoning is that people are hitting Rank 5 right now, and I don't want to create confusion or prevent people from missing Rank 5 because of a bad change. However, if anyone has insight, or wants to test and tweak along with, please PM me. I just ask that you know how to competently write files on your own.

Lastly, I hope this post is not annoying or a waste of time. I just want to keep y'all up to date on what I'm doing. Thanks so much to everyone; especially Joy, Sepe and Dre. I hope that all of you understand how hard Sepe works...for free! So show him some respect...
