Some people seem to be unaware but you can click this button to minimize your hearthstone window without getting the error.

I should also mention, if you quit your hearthstone while it's minimised, the game will get "stuck" in a minimised state meaning you cannot see the game. To fix this, hover over your hearthstone window, as demonstrated below, and click maximise. This will temporary fix the problem. To permanently fix the problem, resize the hearthstone window once (how much you resize is irrelevant).
