Hi guys.

I'm new here and have never used this bot before. But a few days ago I tried it and I liked it :)

I wanted to use silverfish, but, unfortunately, I saw this inscription: silverfish is outdated, not support Knight of the Frozen Throne & Kobolds and Catacombs expansions!

But there is also another Silverfish, that supports all of this and more...(21 feb 2018) :)
You can get it here or here.

As usual, your results will depend on the correct muligan (file _mulligan.txt) and the correct settings (file setting.txt) that fit your deck.

Good luck in boting.

How to use it (as well as the previous Silverfish):
1) Unzip all files in HearthRanger\ExternBot\silverfish\
2) Run bot -> Bot control option -> check Use extern A.I. module -> select silver.dll -> press Save button.
3) Done.

Those who used the Silverfish before can use their settings - they need to be transferred from the old settings.txt file (or specific to the classes) to the new _settings.txt file

For a simple and quick mulligan creation (_mulligan.txt) you can use the Visual Mulligan Editor.

Bonemare/Corridor Creeper/Patches the Pirate/Raza the Chained were changed according to the update 10.2

How do you actually make it run the kobolds dungeon? I cannot find info anywhere and i don't see the option in modes for the bot.

Thanks Lazy cat. How did you find these files? I thought Hearthranger was the only client able to use silverfish.dll at the moment. Hearthbuddy is gone, no idea how smartbot works since it calculates moves on the server side (and the french guy demands crazy money for the service). Got some link to the source site? Any idea if it's just old codebase with new card db added or did someone actually add logic for the newer cards?

I'm new to botting, just wondering why is Silverfish better than the current AI? Tried to google but nothing came up just posts from 2015 and below.

There is logic for new card. This is noticeable in the actions that the bot makes with such cards...

I used new sliverfish. But I look it so slowly then old sliverfish.

and now have not command diag?

How can I use old sliverfish setting?
old sliverfish setting is in \HearthRanger\ExternBot\silverfish\Data\*CLASS*
How can I use it now ,and put there where

I don't have a \HearthRanger\ExternBot\silverfish\Data\ folder in the new HearthRanger_v.8.3.0.rar, which I downloaded from the site.
I've added several settings to the files:
_settings like in the hb.zip
_settings lile in the old sf.zip
_settings without speedup actions - more safe and a bit slow.zip
(it doesn't consider special settings for each classes, you can do it yourself)
To use them simply unzip _settings.txt from the archive and replace it in the folder ...
You can change the settings in the file yourself by editing _settings.txt - there are descriptions for each line.

I'm very new also to the botting game..
I'm currently using VisionAI.

What is silverfish and why is it apparently so good?
I don't really understand that techy stuff I just got a deck, and set up simple stuff to run the bot XD

Silverfish's main advantage back in the day was that it was quick and it could find the best plays quickly. I remember when running Pirate Warrior in wild, even during Ungoro when Silverfish was broken could get you guaranteed Rank 5 in 2 nights.

But Vision AI can still do this in around 150 games and it can reach Rank 4 and 3, but it is way more customizable than before.

Is it because it hasn't been updated with the new cards that it's not as good now? Or something else?

And would you recommend this updated silverfish, or just to stick with Vision?

I haven't tested this one, so I can't tell. I remember that there were a few Silverfish versions and Silverfish was better than the standard Bot AI back in the day. I see people say that only sepefeets silverfish was good, which is probably correct, I remember it being way easier to climb with it, but it might have just been the Aggro Shaman and Pirate Warrior onslaught, don't know. I recommend you test both, see which one works better for you. I think I'll stay with Vision AI because it's a lot more flexible. I don't know if you could ever get Cubelock to work half-decently with Silverfish, while Vision AI seems to be OK-ish in that regard.
